Staying on the subject of cool graphic illustrators this is the work of Ben Newman. I discovered Ben through his latest book 'Professor Astro Cat's Atomic Adventure' which I had snapped in Bologna back in September. Ben is based in London where he works as a freelance illustrator and lectures on illustration. His graphic geometric style has been described as 'Bauhaus fuzzy felt' and his clients have included The Tate Gallery, NoBrow and the New York Times. You can see more from Ben online here.

I came across these lovely contemporary baby products by Aden + Anais when I saw that they were being used to swaddle Stenton David Jones - David Bowie's grandson. A little bit of research later and I was able to enjoy all their other fab designs on muslin baby blankets, swaddles, bibs, onesies etc. Luckily for a Bowie baby prints include lightning bolts and black stars, as well as new arrivals featuring lots of metallics. Aden + Anais was founded in New York by Australian Raegan Moya-Jones, who could not find the traditional muslin blankets in the USA when her daughter Anais was born. So in 2006 she brought out her first swaddle muslin - which can be used for all manner of baby purposes from stroller covers to burp cloths. I really liked the patterns Aden + Anais have put together, which also includes a collaboration with stylish kids label Zutano. You can see everything in their ranges here at the main website or head to their UK online store.
